This Privacy Policy explains how Chic Twice collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information when you visit our website, request a clothing pickup, communicate with us, submit pickup photos, or otherwise interact with our services.

Information you provide

When you request a pickup, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, street address, apartment or access note, city, ZIP code, preferred pickup date and time window, number of bags or boxes, and confirmation that you accept our terms. We may also collect information you send in emails, texts, support requests, surveys, reviews, or other communications.

Pickup photos

Before collection, we will usually ask you to send one or more photos of the prepared bags or boxes after they are outside. We use these photos to identify the correct containers and pickup location, prevent collection mistakes, support drivers, document service, resolve questions, and maintain business records.

Submitted photos may also be cropped, edited, reproduced, and used on the Chic Twice website, social media, or other business and promotional materials as described in our Pickup Terms. We make reasonable efforts to remove or obscure personal identifiers and preserve anonymity before public use, but complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed if a photo contains recognizable people, homes, addresses, license plates, documents, or location details. Please avoid including sensitive or identifying information in pickup photos.

Pickup and service records

We may create records about pickup confirmation, route status, driver messages, access conditions, items or containers collected or declined, reasons an item was left behind, donor perks, service issues, impact-program activity, and related communications. We may connect these records with your contact and pickup information so we can operate and improve the service.

Website and technical information

Our website, hosting provider, and form, analytics, or communication services may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, referring page, requested pages, and any campaign or source code used to reach our website or pickup form. To understand website use and the path from a homepage visit to a pickup request, Chic Twice may record page visits, visits to the pickup page, campaign/source codes, and anonymous first-party browser and session identifiers stored in your browser. We may also record an approximate city, state or region, and country derived from the visitor’s public IP address. We do not store the raw IP address in our website tracking log. We use this information to measure outreach performance, understand geographic demand, improve the website and pickup process, and support website operation, security, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention.

How we use information

We use personal information to review, schedule, route, confirm, and complete pickups; identify the correct items and location; send operational updates; provide donor perks; answer questions; prevent mistakes, misuse, and fraud; maintain service and impact records; improve our website and operations; protect people and property; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Operational email and text messages

When you request pickup, we may email or text you about confirmation, access, route timing, delays, completion, declined items, follow-up, or other service matters. Standard carrier rates may apply. These operational messages are separate from unrelated promotional marketing. You may contact us to update your information or communication preferences, although some messages may be necessary to complete an active pickup.

How we share information

We may share information with Chic Twice team members and drivers who need it to perform a pickup; vendors that provide website hosting, forms, cloud storage, email, text messaging, security, analytics, or operational support; and professional advisers where reasonably necessary. We may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect safety or rights, investigate misuse, or complete a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the business.

Organizations receiving clothing for donation or recycling generally do not need your contact information. If sharing personal information with one of them becomes necessary for a specific service or request, we will limit the information to what is reasonably needed.

No sale of personal information

Chic Twice does not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may publish aggregated or de-identified impact statistics that are not reasonably linked to an individual.

Third-party stores and links

Our website may link to third-party services, including the Chic Twice eBay store. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and may collect payment, account, device, and transaction information directly. Chic Twice does not receive your complete payment-card credentials from those services, although we may receive order and transaction details needed to fulfill or administer a sale.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including completing pickups, maintaining business and impact records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, meeting legal or accounting obligations, and protecting our rights. Retention periods vary by record type. We may delete, de-identify, or aggregate information when it is no longer needed. Pickup photos assigned to Chic Twice may remain in business records or published materials as described in the Pickup Terms.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and our operations. We limit access to people and providers with a business need. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, or request a copy of it. Depending on applicable law and the nature of the record, we may need to verify your identity, retain certain information, or decline part of a request. Children’s privacy

Pickup requests are intended for adults. Chic Twice does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
